The fastest train in Europe - 400km/h
Often refered to as "The most beautiful train in the world", the Frecciarossa 1000 (Red Arrow) was designed for speeds up to 400km/h, the fastest train in Europe. It is an advanced model suitable for long-distance passenger service on high-speed lines. Interoperability, safety, comfort, and ecological sustainability are among the major features of the train.The advanced energy-saving technology has a range of sustainable features. Light alloys are used for the carriage casings and furniture elements of the train that can be recovered at the end of their lifecycle. The train is made with 95% renewable materials while 85% of its materials are recyclable.
Silent and environmentally friendly
The new Frecciarossa 1000 is the first high-speed train to have obtained the certification of environmental impact (EPD), since it’s able to contain within 28 micrograms the CO2 emissions per passenger/kilometre and for minimized noise and vibration. The materials used in the construction of the train reaches a percentage of recyclability very close to 100%.
Frecciarossa 1000 now in 5 countries in Europe
Internationalization is the new frontier for the Frecciarossa 1000, now running in 4 countries outside of Italy:
Spain 2022 - with 74 daily connections including 32 between Madrid-Barcellona.
France - with connections between Milan-Turin-Lyon-Paris with 5 Frecciarossa 1000.
Great Brittan - with connections between London-Glasgow, plus a second line running between London, Birmingham and Manchester. Greece - with connections between Athens and Salonica
4 levels of service
The interior design was expanded from two categories (First and Second class) to four categories (Executive, Business, Premium, and Standard), offering a much wider selection to passengers in terms of comfort, services, and price. Illumination was also upgraded to more commercial airplane solutions, with individual spotlights in each seat and 220v outlets for all passengers. Disabled passengers are also accommodated in each of the four classes.
